성경말씀: 마태복음14:13~21

14:13 <오천 명을 먹이심> 예수님께서 이 소식을 들으시고, 그 곳을 떠나 배를 타고 혼자 조용한 곳으로 가셨습니다. 그러나 여러 마을에서 사람들이 이 사실을 전해 듣고, 걸어서 예수님을 따라왔습니다.14 예수님께서 배에서 내려 많은 사람들이 모여 있는 것을 보셨습니다. 예수님께서는 그들을 불쌍히 여기시고 병든 사람들을 고쳐 주셨습니다.15 저녁이 되자, 제자들이 예수님께 와서 말했습니다. “이 곳은 외딴 곳이고, 시간도 너무 늦었습니다. 사람들을 이제 보내어, 마을에 가서 먹을 것을 각자 사도록 하는 것이 좋겠습니다.”
16 예수님께서 제자들에게 대답하셨습니다. “갈 필요가 없다. 너희가 그들에게 먹을 것을 주어라.”17 제자들이 대답했습니다. “우리가 가진 것이라고는 빵 다섯 개와 생선 두 마리뿐입니다.”18 예수님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “그것들을 내게 가져오너라.”19 사람들을 풀밭에 앉게 하신 후, 예수님께서는 빵 다섯 개와 생선 두 마리를 손에 들고 하늘을 바라보며 감사 기도를 드리셨습니다. 그 다음에 제자들에게 그것들을 떼어 주셨고, 제자들은 그것을 사람들에게 나누어 주었습니다.20 모든 사람들이 먹고 배가 불렀습니다. 먹고 남은 조각들을 거두었더니, 열두 바구니에 가득 찼습니다. 21 먹은 사람은 약 오천 명이나 되었는데, 이는 여자와 어린이가 포함되지 않은 숫자입니다.(쉬운 성경)

 

Jesus Feeds Five Thousand

13 As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where he was headed and followed on foot from many towns. 14 Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

15 That evening the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”

16 But Jesus said, “That isn’t necessary—you feed them.”

17 “But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!” they answered.

18 “Bring them here,” he said. 19 Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. 20 They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. 21 About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children! 성경말씀: 요한복음 13:4-5, 12-17

4 예수님께서 저녁 잡수시던 자리에서 일어나 겉옷을 벗고 수건을 가져다가 허리에 두르셨습니다. 5 예수님께서는 대야에 물을 부어 제자들의 발을 씻기시고, 두르신 수건으로 그들의 발을 닦아주기 시작하셨습니다.......12 예수님께서는 제자들의 발을 다 씻기신 뒤에, 옷을 입고 다시 자리에 앉으셔서, 그들에게 이런 질문을 하셨습니다. “내가 방금 전에 너희에게 행한 일이 무슨 뜻으로 한 것인지 이해하겠느냐? 13 너희가 나를 ‘선생님’ 또는 ‘주님’이라고 부르는데, 너희 말이 맞다. 나는 바로 그런 사람이다. 14 내가 선생과 주로서 너희 발을 씻겼으니, 너희도 서로 발을 씻겨 주어야 한다. 15 내가 너희에게 행한 그대로 너희도 행하게 하기 위해 내가 본을 보여 준 것이다. 16 내가 너희에게 진리를 말한다. 종이 자기 주인보다 크지 못하고, 보냄을 받은 자가 그를 보낸 자보다 크지 못한 법이다. 17 너희가 이것을 알고 그대로 행하면 너희에게 복이 있을 것이다. 4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet, drying them with the towel he had around him...... 12 After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, "Do you understand what I was doing? 13 You call me `Teacher' and `Lord,' and you are right, because that's what I am. 14 And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other's feet. 15 I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. 16 I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message. 17 Now that you know these things, God will bless you for doing them. (New Living Translation)

18 갈릴리 해변에 다니시다가 두 형제 곧 베드로라 하는 시몬과 그의 형제 안드레가 바다에 그물 던지는 것을 보시니 그들은 어부라. 19 말씀하시되 나를 따라오라 내가 너희를 사람을 낚는 어부가 되게 하리라 하시니, 20 그들이 곧 그물을 버려 두고 예수를 따르니라. 21 거기서 더 가시다가 다른 두 형제 곧 세베대의 아들 야고보와 그의 형제 요한이 그의 아버지 세베대와 함께 배에서 그물 깁는 것을 보시고 부르시니, 22 그들이 곧 배와 아버지를 버려 두고 예수를 따르니라. (개역개정)

18 One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers - Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew - throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. 19 Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!" 20 And they left their nets at once and followed him. 21 A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. 성경말씀: 야고보서 1:22-27

22 하나님께서 가르쳐 주신 대로 행하십시오. 듣기만 하고 행하지 않는 사람이 되어서는 안 됩니다. 앉아서 듣기만 한다면 그것은 자신을 속이는 것입니다.  23 하나님의 가르침을 듣고 아무것도 행하지 않는 사람은 거울을 들여다보고 있는 사람과 같습니다.  24 그는 자기 얼굴을 들여다보고도, 일어나면 금방 자신의 얼굴이 어떠했는지 잊어 버립니다.  25 그러나 사람을 자유케 하는 하나님의 완전한 법을 살피는 사람은 들은 것을 잊어 버리지 않고, 그 말씀대로 행하는 사람입니다. 이런 사람은 그 행하는 일에 복을 받을 것입니다.  26 <하나님을 섬기는 참된 길> 스스로 자신이 경건하다고 생각하면서 말을 함부로 하는 사람은 자신을 속이고 있는 것입니다. 그의 경건은 아무 가치도 없습니다.  27 하나님께서 받으시는 경건은, 어려운 처지에 있는 고아와 과부를 돌보고, 세상의 악에 물들지 않도록 자신을 잘 지키는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 이런 순수하고 깨끗한 신앙을 보십니다. (쉬운성경)

 

22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. 26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. 27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. 성경말씀: 고린도전서 3:1~13

1 <사람을 좇아가는 어리석음> 성도 여러분, 이전에 나는 성령에 속한 사람에게 말하듯이 여러분에게 할 수가 없어서 세상에 속한 사람을 대하듯, 다시 말해서 그리스도 안에서 어린아이를 대하듯 말할 수밖에 없었습니다. 2 그 때, 나는 여러분에게 단단한 음식이 아니라 우유를 먹였습니다. 여러분이 단단한 음식을 먹을 준비가 전혀 되어 있지 않았기 때문인데, 지금도 여전히 받을 준비가 되어 있지 않습니다. 3 여러분은 아직도 세상에 속해 있습니다. 시기와 다툼이 여러분 안에 있으니 이것이 바로 세상에 속한 것이고 세상 사람들처럼 행동하는 것이 아닙니까? 4 어떤 사람이 “나는 바울파다”라고 말하자, 다른 사람은 “나는 아볼로파다”라고 말하고 있으니, 세상에 속한 사람이 아니면 무엇이겠습니까? 5 도대체 아볼로가 무엇이고 바울이 무엇입니까? 나나 아볼로나 여러분을 믿도록 하고, 주님께서 각 사람에게 할 일을 맡기셔서 일하는 일꾼에 불과합니다.  도대체 아볼로가 무엇이고 바울이 무엇입니까? 6 나는 씨앗을 심었고, 아볼로는 물을 주었으나, 자라게 하시는 분은 하나님이십니다. 7 그러므로 심는 사람이나 물을 주는 사람은 아무것도 아니지만, 자라게 하시는 분인 하나님은 중요합니다. 8 심는 사람과 물 주는 사람은 하나의 목적 때문에 일을 합니다. 각 사람은 자기가 한 수고만큼 보수를 받을 것입니다. 9 우리는 하나님의 동역자요, 여러분은 하나님의 밭이며, 하나님의 건물입니다.10 나는 하나님께서 내게 주신 은혜대로 유능한 건축가처럼 기초를 놓았습니다. 하지만 다른 사람들은 그 위에 건물을 세우고 있습니다. 그러나 각 사람은 이 기초 위에 어떻게 건물을 세워야 할지 주의해야 합니다.11 아무도 이미 놓여 있는 기초 외에 다른 기초를 놓을 수 없습니다. 왜냐하면 그 기초는 예수 그리스도이시기 때문입니다.12 어떤 사람이 이 기초 위에 금이나 은이나 보석이나 또는 나무나 풀이나 짚 등을 이용하여 건물을 세울 것인데13 각 사람이 일한 성과가 드러나게 될 것입니다. 그 날은 불로 나타나기 때문에 일한 것이 밝히 드러날 것입니다. 그래서 그 불이 각 사람의 한 일을 검증할 것입니다. 1Dear brothers and sisters,[a] when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people.[b] I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in Christ. 2 I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready, 3 for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world? 4 When one of you says, “I am a follower of Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting just like people of the world? 5 After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us. 6 I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. 7 It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. 9 For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. 10 Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. 12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. (New Living Translation)
